You have seen the Suzuki GT 750J being rebuilt on the TV. Well in my view this is a much better!!!
Very occasionally you find the bike of your dreams, the one that ticks all the boxes.
This is one such a machine in so far as it is as near factory spec as it’s possible to get and has been completely rebuilt albeit sometime ago, with genuine Suzuki Parts throughout wherever possible.
This is a genuine UK bike and it’s not an American import that was manufactured in 1972 but not registered until February 1973.
The restoration process involved some years and was a fastidious process.
A complete brand-new Suzuki exhaust system was used for example which must have been quite hard to find, even a few years ago, sprockets nuts, bolts, petrol tap the list is endless. You will have noticed the genuine Suzuki tool kit.
The genuine Takasago date stamped rims were re-chromed that were the guards etc. Brand-new Suzuki shock absorbers were fitted, the genuine Suzuki mirrors still have their protective backing affixed to protect them again stone chips!
Naturally the engine was completely stripped, the crank was rebuilt and carefully balanced, new pistons were fitted and the bike was repainted in its original candy lavender colour A huge history file and invoices for work done and parts bought accompany the bike.
This isn’t just a bike that is visually in excellent condition, but it also rides very well and I mean really well, being super smooth with great torque and showing a good turn off speed.
