For sale is this very pretty 1974 250 Yellow Desmo.
Correct numbers, colour, equipment and history. With only 2490.7 miles on the speedometer, this original UK registered motorcycle must be quite unique. Having been stored for many years, it has been sympathetically restored using original parts (in the majority) as follows:
Original tank, seat and mudguards.
Original Borrani matching rims with polished hubs and new spokes.
Original VHB carburettor (ultrasonic cleaned).
Original fully rebuilt engine and Desmo head.
Original instruments. Original headlight with new chrome. Original electrical equipment.
Original rebuilt Cerriani front forks and Marzocchi rear suspension.
Original footrest, brake lever, gear lever and linkage.
Original tool box and air box with new filter.
Original Verlicchi throttle body, clip-ons and levers.
New front and rear sprockets. New cables. New battery.
New old stock Silentium silencer and exhaust pipe.
New old stock choke lever and horn dipswitch.
New old stock instrument binnacle.
New tyres and tubes.
This desirable motorcycle has been painted in the correct Lechler yellow ochre colour with black frame and black and white decals. A stunning example which Mick Walker describes in his many books as the last and best of the Ducati singles. Starts easily and runs as good as it looks.
