This Beautiful example of an Ariel VH 500 red Hunter is actually one of the last Girder Fork models produced, as in the 1947 model year the telescopic forks were introduced for Ariel single cylinder models.
This of course makes the machine much more desirable as the value of girder rigid examples far outweigh the later variants.
This particular example has been fully restored to almost concourse condition some years ago and has been enthusiastically ridden by its owner since, whilst being kept in excellent all-round cosmetic and mechanical condition.
The bike rides very well with a good turn of speed and draws an admiring crowd wherever it is parked.
