This is one of the most attractive and well-restored machines that I have seen for quite a while (the restorer being Reeds Classics, who are local to us).
The 1939 model is unusual in that it had a center-stand fitted as a standard and is quite rare in being a girder forked-Ansty link rear suspension model. This means that it waffts along in a very comfortable manner having a benefit of a sprung saddle.
Total restoration included full engine rebuild with many new parts.
Gear box and clutch totally overhauled.
Brakes completely overhauled, drums skimmed, new shoes, cables, etc.
New wheel bearings throughout.
Front forks completely re-bushed with new spindles.
New British chrome wheel rims and stainless steel spokes with the wheels being enamelled and coach-lined.
194 miles since rebuild.
Completely repainted using the finest quality materials.
The Ansty link rear suspension has been fully overhauled as well.
Quite simply this is one of or the finest examples of Arial 4Gs that you’ll find anywhere in the world and can be viewed in our premises in Clay Cross.
