If a big Kawasaki Z900 or Z1 is now out of reach at £20,000 plus, here is a great alternative in the form of a rather nice and much more affordable Z750 twin of the same era.
When I came across this particular machine I couldn’t help looking at the road test of big twins in Bike magazine in the 70s. Compared with the Triumph Tiger, the Z750 had just as much lowdown grunt and much more so than the Yamaha XS 650.
Its unique balance the shaft arrangement also smoothed out those big twin vibes that plagued the Triumphs and Nortons of the day.
This particular example has benefited from a full photographic restoration. There is a folder full of invoices which total nearly £4000!
Compared with the Kawasaki four cylinder machines, this will cause much more interest at any bike meet for sure.
