Yamaha RD 200 concourse condition BEST AVAILABLE!! SOLD

This bike is actually a Yamaha CS3B which in 1971 was the forerunner of the RD 200.

Being a piston port two stroke as opposed to the reed valves of the later bikes, it actually had better high-speed performance in many ways in that the reeds didn’t impair the intake tracks.

A Cycle World contemporary road-test said that this model would cruise at 75 miles an hour and could easily reach 90MPH!

The smaller engines are very very sweet and a delight to ride and of course they have the added advantage of an electric start which the larger models for some reason never had!

This particular example is an absolutely amazing concourse condition. Everything is either new, new old stock or better than new.

The whole bike, including engine has been re-built with an extensive invoice file to show this.

It is probably one of the best condition machines I’ve ever had.!

The chrome work is new, the paintwork is unmarked and all the mechanicals have been overhauled and renewed as needed.

An absolute must for any serious collector and just look at the mileage. The bike is showing just 6546miles which I have no way of knowing is genuine or not but it just could be. That’s just my opinion anyway.
