GT 185 Completely restored one of the best available!!!!The Suzuki GT185 was quite a popular model back in the 1970s. I think it was the electric start that really made the bike a little more sophisticated than most of the two-stroke competition at the time.
Fast forward to now and they are still a very very popular model being lightweight, quite nippy and of course having that electric start.
The problem nowadays is finding one in good condition and this particular example is just about as good as I have seen in a long time.
Having been completely restored from top to bottom, the bike is in fabulous condition with new chrome, paint, seat on and a full engine strip and rebuild with new parts as required.
With all of these two-strokes the exhaust system condition is hugely important as they’re impossible nowadays to find.
The exhausts on this bike are actually as new in fact they could be new because the warning stamps are still crisp (the text becomes softer when polished out at the re-chromers), the baffle internals are brand-new and I have never ever seen exhausts on a Suzuki twin that was good as these.
The bike runs and performs very well as you would expect and of course the electric starter works perfectly!
Now on to the mileage. It shows just 2387 miles. Is this the genuine mileage? It is impossible to say. It just could be though looking at the instruments and general condition of the bike but that is just my opinion.
