Its the long hot and unforgettable summer of 1976. It’s all about flares, cowboy boots and a pint to Watneys pale ale at the disco.
My pal Chops wasn’t the coolest kid on the block, but he did have a frantic moped and boy could he blow us all into the weeds with ease! My SS50 that just might of been over-bored somewhat considerably and could out-perform the average FS1 a and a Ap50 but had no chance against the Fantic which made over seven brake horsepower as I recall! In fact my pal used to look back and tease us and I remember on one outing he failed to spot a corner and rode straight into a ditch which serves him right I always thought!
Fast forward to 2023 and this Fantic TI is an absolutely gorgeous condition. Naturally it’s been totally restored and runs and rides brilliantly. All the correct decals are in place and a brief test ride showed that it has real zippy performance just as I remember back in the day.
Don’t forget this has the desirable pedal engine!!!!
What a hoot it would be to turn up at the pub bike meet on this little number and you’ll easily be the talk of the town.
