If you’re looking for a Yamaha RD 350 YPVS, this is the one to have!
The 31K model is the first of its type and generally accepted as the best riding machine. It is also the most desirable and valuable.
This particular example is a wonderfully original machine. Look at the exhaust pipes. I genuinely believe that they’ve never been painted and that this is the original finish from brand-new.
The frame paint, seat cover, wheel finish, brake calipers all look absolutely dead stock and completely original to me.
The mileage shows 14,526 which could easily be the correct mileage but that’s just my opinion.
Naturally, this is a matching numbers machine. These bikes were reputed to make 60 brake horsepower and were road-test it is a genuine 120 mph which is phenomenal performance for a 350.
I’ve ridden the bike extensively and I can say that it certainly goes as well as it looks and the torque is wonderful but the performance at the higher end of the rev range is shattering.
I even rode it tw0-up on several occasions and Donna reported that it was quite comfortable. We have naturally serviced the machine and I’ve spent some time setting up the carburetion.
