The Yamaha RD 350 is one of my favourite all-time bikes. They’re light and easy to manage handle brilliantly and also have a surprising great turn of speed, being able to cruise at 70 miles an hour when needed and nudge a ton when the taps are opened!
The B model liberated the six speed gearbox and sixth isn’t overdrive it really can pull top gear.
I have ridden this particular example extensively both one and two up and can safely say that the reed valve induction means it’s tractable and docile in traffic and a great performer when on the open road. We know this bike very well having sold it to a gentleman some time ago who has now decided to hang up his helmet and retire from riding.
Showing just 13,504 miles I believe that this is quite probably genuine but that is just my opinion.
Work that we have done includes replacing the fork seals and dust covers, the rear chain and also set the ignition timing accurately with a dial gauge and meter for accuracy.
The carbs have been overhauled as has the fuel tap and finally new tyres were fitted.
The bike really does start and ride exceptionally well and an sunny days I might ride the bike so the mileage might just go up!
