Billed as probably the world’s most popular street trail bike, the Yamaha 250 Enduro featured a 1974 a new motocross type frame, front forks and also a new cylinder head design.
Compared with the earlier DT 250 the performance was improved with its port timing, the narrower crankcase and exhaust configuration also helped to make the DT 250 Enduro a more potent dirt-bike than its’ predecessor.
This particular example is very original and is showing just 2858 miles, which I believe is possibly correct but that’s just my opinion.
The bike has been given a very thorough yet sympathetic restoration some years ago and has seen very little use since.
Even the thermal phase rear shocks, which were another Yamaha first, are still evident and seem to work very well.
The Takasago date stamped rims are present and this is a matching numbers machine naturally.
I can say that this bike starts easily and rides very well with a muted crackle to the exhaust.
Street trail machines are now becoming ever more popular and this example will not disappoint its new owner at £4,950.00
