This is a proper electric start Triumph T140 Bonneville ES. It’s also quite a rare thing. Now I am nearly 16 stone and 6 foot three so I can quite happily kick bikes up (still……) but if you’re a little bit more lightweight and don’t fancy this ritual look no further as an electric start Bonneville it’s just a thing!
These late-model triumphs are the real deal, made in England not Taiwan or anywhere else.I have ridden this bike quite a bit and the power is creamy and delightful with a good mid-range punch that you’d expect from a 750 twin
The best of it though, was at various bike meets where people expected you to heave on the kickstart, I just pushed the button and it never failed to start first time. Don’t forget there’s no tickling carbs with the later Amal Mk2’s just a little choke from cold press the button and off she goes delightful.
This particular example has had a lot of money spent on it and there is a history file with bills to prove.
Delightfully finished in the beautiful light blue livery, the recent exhausts are in wonderful condition as are all the new rims and chrome work generally.
