The Yamaha RD 350 YPVS is one of my top three all-time favourite motorcycles.
Known affectionately as a 350 ‘power valve’ these bikes really are a pleasure to ride. Being a nice torquey motor lowdown, there is also plenty of mid-range punch for a bike of just 350cc, but when the taps are opened, they really fly? The handling is sublime and the bike is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. All those big modern adventure bike riders please take note!
Above all these bikes are great fun to ride and that in my opinion is what motorcycling is all about.
This particular example has been in very long-term family ownership since the 1990s in fact. It starts easily and rides really well.
The engine was rebuilt sometime ago by Stan Stevens no less and I spent many hours riding this bike around the highways and byways of Derbyshire and it’s been great fun.
With a comprehensive history file an owners manual the bike is ready to be enjoyed by its new area and is in great condition overall
